Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Mergewright is operated by Norbert Pascu (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions, contact norbipascu92@gmail.com.
2. The application
Mergewright stores its data (your list of repositories, identity profiles, and settings) locally in your operating system’s application-data directory. Access tokens you choose to add are stored in your operating system’s secure keychain, never transmitted to us. The app only makes network requests that you initiate — for example, contacting a git remote or a provider (GitHub/GitLab) you have connected, or checking for updates from our public releases on GitHub. We receive none of that data.
3. The website
This website (mergewright.com) runs no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider (Fly.io) processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) to operate and secure the service, as described in Fly.io’s privacy policy.
The waitlist and feedback forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. When those forms are available, Cloudflare may process technical request and browser signals needed to provide the security check under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We validate each result on our server; the private verification key is never sent to your browser. Turnstile is used for security only, not advertising or audience analytics.
4. Purchases
Payments and licence keys are handled by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. When you buy a licence, you provide your information directly to Lemon Squeezy and their payment processors; their privacy policy governs that processing. We receive order and licence information needed to deliver and support your purchase (such as your email address and licence key), but not your full payment-card details.
5. Downloads & updates
Installer downloads and in-app update checks are served from GitHub. When you download the app or it checks for updates, GitHub may process your IP address and request metadata under GitHub’s privacy policy.
6. Beta feedback & correspondence
If you email us or send beta feedback, we process the information you provide (such as your email address and message) to respond and to improve the product. We keep it only as long as needed for those purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the EU GDPR and the Swiss FADP), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact norbipascu92@gmail.com.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy; changes are indicated by the “Last updated” date above.
